Small Fan and Feather Scarf

Most fan and feather patterns are written over an 18 stitch repeat, which makes them kind of big for scarves.  I cut some of the stitches out of the waves to make them smaller, making the size more manageable for a worsted weight scarf. 

Small Fan and Feather                         

Multiple of 12 plus 4 edge stitches each edge

Cast on 32 stitches       

Row 1:  Knit   

Row 2:  Knit     

Row 3:  K4, purl 24, K4.   

Row 4:  K2, (k2 together)2x,  (yo, k1) 4x, (k2 together)4x, (yo, k1)4x, (k2 together)2x, k2.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern, ending with row 1.  Bind off. 

yo = yarn over - Bring the yarn forward and over right hand needle between stitches
